This makes us one of the oldest clubs in Cheshire although we have not been in continuous&nbsp;existence. The club ceased&nbsp;operating&nbsp;in the the early 1960&#8217;s and was reformed in 1972.<\/p>\n<p>We have had some very good riders in the modern club, who have gone on to great things. In the 1980&#8217;s one such rider was Barry Lawton who rode in the Tour of&nbsp;Britain&nbsp;&#8220;Milk Race&#8221;. More recently Mark Lovatt started with us. He went on to win international honours with&nbsp;Great&nbsp;Britain at the world championships in&nbsp;Portugal&nbsp;and also rode in the Tour of Britain. He won Premier&nbsp;Calendar&nbsp;series events, and is&nbsp;well&nbsp;remembered for winning the&nbsp;prestigious&nbsp;Tour of the&nbsp;Peak&nbsp;six times&nbsp;consecutively. Mike&nbsp;Harrison&nbsp;has also won Elite races and ridden in a&nbsp;Great&nbsp;Britain&nbsp;jersey.<\/p>\n<p>In recent&nbsp;years&nbsp;we have become well known as a long distance time trial club, with Neil Skellern (now&nbsp;with&nbsp;Team&nbsp;Swift) achieving many top 10 placings in the season long British Best Allrounder Competition.
