The course is a tough 1400 meters<br \/>\nwith an average grade of 11.1% reaching 25% at its steepest. All riders<br \/>\nwere met with cheers of encouragement by enthusiastic supporters and<br \/>\nfellow competitors at the course&#8217;s steepest section, the 1 in 4 &#8220;wall&#8221;<br \/>\nat the top. Congleton Cycling Club had 4 riders competing in a field of<br \/>\n54. Nick Decker made the prizes coming in a fantastic 5th place, from 69 on the start list,<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 323px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/TmhlScdqiw19sT6UaGTl5_7QZa5w82B63btGEFniAo4=w313-h207-p-no\" width=\"313\" height=\"207\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nick on the 25% pitch<br \/>Photo Ken Norbury<\/p><\/div>\n<p>with a\u00a0time of 4:54.5. Our other rider results were, Ben Norbury 5:39.4, Pete<br \/>\nTatton 6:09.9 and Mike Jones 6:12.4. Congratulations to all for their<br \/>\nvery respectable times contributing to an excellent 3rd place in the<br \/>\nfastest team competition.
