Edward Mulroy aged 5, the clubs youngest member, was the winner this year of the Newcastle Track Cycling Association, Freewheelers league group 3. He accepted his award from Rick Notley, at their annual presentation evening on Friday evening. Last year the same competition was won by older sister Hollie. This year Hollie aged (8), has progressed to Freewheeler Group 2, where she finished a fine 4th. The Freewheelers league races are held every Thursday evening throughout the season (weather permitting). This year there were 64 youngsters across the 3 groups comprising the league.
The NTCA also award an annual trophy in memory of Graham McCargo our late club chairman. The award is for the winner of the season long Keirin League. This year the winner was Barney Swinnerton of Team SIS.
