Well done to club member Megan Giglia on being selected for the GB Para cycling squad for next month’s UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships which has been announced by British Cycling. Megan suffered an acute brain haemorrhage/stroke in January 2013 which resulted in paralysis to her right side, aged just 27. She will travel to Apeldoorn in Holland for the Championships which take place March 26th – 29th. Megan joined the club last year, after being advised by her coach to get out with a good cycling club. She has worked hard over the winter despite having to fight back from a fractured Coccyx sustained when she crashed on a club run back in October.
