31 riders out tonight for the first TT of the season – the Hilly One. Excellent conditions, and a glorious sunset to cap the occasion. Did anyone else spot what I believe was a Sun Dog? Amazing… An excellent start to the season.
Andrew Magnier was fastest in 26:59 from Norbury 27:45 and Anthony Allen Macclesfield Wheelers 28:46. Ben took top points in the TT League followed by Steve Hulme 29:45 and Mike Jones 30:42. Top of the ladies was Sue Blake in 39:39, amazing when you consider that she rode 150 + miles in the Ludlow and back reliability trial on Sunday. Mark Tilston who also did the 150, complained of tired legs but still finished in 37:21. Junior honours went to Mark Allen in 32:27 from Jake Niblett who overcame a puncture before the start and a late start to get round in 33:45
